Volunteering doctors and nurses
Mnazi Mmoja Hospital welcomes doctors and nurses who wish to volunteers at the hospital or other lower level hospitals. A minimum volunteering period is three months. Doctors and nurses who wish to volunteer to other public hospitals are required to work at Mnazi Mmoja Hospital first before they are scheduled for other hospitals. GPs and specialists are all needed to work at the departments of their specialities.
Application
To apply, please prepare your CV, academic certificates (translated if not in english), certificate of registration, recent passport size photo and an pplication letter that need to be sent to us via email: info@visionsynergies.com. The application letter shall be addressed to Medical Superintendent, Mnazi Mmoja Hospital, Zanzibar. The letter shall describe your intendend programme, including duration and the department you wish to work at. Once we receive the documents we contact the hospital administration and file an offcial request from us. We will inform you on the decision made, once we receive a reply from the hospital
Cost
Volunteers are not required to pay any hospitall fee. To process your application we will charge you USD 250 which must be paid in 30 days after we inform you on the decision made. Bank and Account details will be shown in the invoice that will be sent to you.
Most volunteers like to have private accommodation. Once you confirm your partcipation, we will find a house for you based on your preferences. The exact nature of the house and the cost will be determined at that time. If you decide to take a shared accommodation (with elective students) the price is USD 15 per day.
